- He was appointed Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in London over 25 years ago and has a wealth of experience in various areas of orthopaedic surgery.
- Mr Bacarese-Hamilton has been one of the principle instigators of the ‘evolution hip’, with Joint Replacement International and is interested in rapid recovery of the total hip and total knee replacement.
- He has vast experience in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee and the management of fractures.
- Mr Bacarese-Hamilton also has extensive experience in leg lengthening and was the first surgeon in the UK to perform bilateral femoral lengthening using the Stryde nail with great success. He has an abiding interest in bone growth. Whilst the Stryde nail is being redeveloped and improved he is exploring other devices which might do equally well.
