Editorial Policy

1                   Introduction

1.1               This Editorial Policy applies to all content submitted (“Submissions”) to MTM Global Ltd (“we”, “us”, and “our”) for publication on any of our websites (the “Sites”) or elsewhere. It applies to whoever creates or makes the Submission (“you” and “your”) regardless of where in the world you are located or the method by which it is submitted (for example, whether submitted without solicitation, whether submitted at no cost following request, and/or whether the Submission was commissioned by us at cost).

1.2               While this Editorial Policy provides guidance for Submissions the ultimate decision as to whether or not we publish a Submission is in our sole discretion and we shall have no liability or responsibility to you for any decision to not publish a Submission for any reason whatsoever.

1.3               We shall apply this Editorial Policy in our absolute discretion. In the event of your breach of this Editorial Policy we may remove or edit Submissions, disclose Submissions or any other communication by you to law enforcement authorities or take any action we consider necessary following the breach.

2                   Submission Standards

2.1               Any Submission you make to us must:

2.1.1                 be in the British English language;

2.1.2                 be pre-copy checked for correct spelling and grammar;

2.1.3                 conform to standards of accuracy, decency and lawfulness, which shall be applied in our discretion, acting reasonably.

2.2               Due the nature of our business and the content that we publish, all Submissions must be well-sourced, based on sound scientific evidence and (where appropriate) corroborated. Submissions must not be knowingly or materially misleading and should not distort known facts or present opinion or speculation as fact.

2.3               To the extent that Submissions contain opinions this should be made clear together with the evidence or factual basis relied upon to support such opinion.

2.4               In particular, any Submission by you must be:

2.4.1                 your own original work, not copied (either in part or full) from a third party, and lawfully submitted;

2.4.2                 factually accurate or your own genuinely held belief;

2.4.3                 provided with the necessary consent of any third party;

2.4.4                 fully compliant with any laws, regulations, or standards relating to personal data or privacy;

2.4.5                 not defamatory or likely to give rise to an allegation of defamation;

2.4.6                 not offensive, obscene, sexually explicit, discriminatory or deceptive; and

2.4.7                 unlikely to cause offence, embarrassment or annoyance to others.

3                   Conflicts of Interest

3.1               In order to ensure ethical standards are met you must disclose to us at the time of making any Submission any Conflicts of Interest.

3.2               For the purposes of paragraph 3.1 a “Conflict of Interest” means any interests (whether financial or not) that could, or could be perceived to, undermine the objectivity, integrity or value of a Submission due to the potential influential on your judgments, actions or opinions.

3.3               You agree to hold us harmless against any loss or damage that we suffer arising out of or related to any Submission in respect of which you have not declared a Conflict of Interests.

4                   Intellectual Property

4.1               You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish any Submissions and to make any reasonable edits that we in our sole discretion consider necessary before making such publication.

4.2               You warrant to us that the:

4.2.1                 Submissions shall not infringe any intellectual property or other rights of any third parties, and

4.2.2                 Submissions will comply with the submission standards in paragraph 2

4.3               You agree to hold us harmless against any loss or damage that we suffer as a result of your breach of the warranties in paragraph 4.2.

5                   Corrections and Retractions

5.1               From time to time we may need to publish corrections or retractions relating to a published Submissions (“Corrections”). Corrections will be published with a link to the original published Submission so that the Correction and the original published Submission will both be indexed by search engines.

5.2               If you become aware of any errors or other issues with a Submission that you have made you must contact us and provide us with sufficient information to enable us to identify whether or not a Correction needs to be made.

5.3               In exceptional circumstances (for example, where a Submission is defamatory or otherwise infringes a third party’s rights) we may remove the Submission from our Site.

7                   Variation

This Editorial Policy is dated 1st May 2020. No changes to this Editorial Policy are valid or have any effect unless agreed by us in writing. Our updated Editorial Policy will be displayed on our Site or provided to you and by continuing to make Submissions following such changes, you agree to be bound by any variation made by us. It is your responsibility to check this Editorial Policy from time to time to verify such variations.
